Wine and cheese, they go together and complement each other perfectly. Maybe that's why this was one of my favourites out of the places we visited simply because it combines the two.
On the wine side they have a large selection of both reds and whites as well as a few fortified wines thrown in for good measure. While the list is too long to go into individually, the two that stood out for us were the Three Cabernets which is a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Ruby Cabernet grapes, very nice and the Vintage Port. The prices were maybe a little above average but weren’t too bad. |

While the wines were good, for me it was the cheese that really made the difference. They make a full selection ranging from creamy soft cheeses right through to the strong flavourful blue cheeses. Again there are far too many to go into suffice to say that all of the cheeses we tried were fabulous.
You can see a full list of all the different wines, cheeses and other things that they produce at the web sites listed below. |

Before I did my trip to WA I don lots of research on places to visit. Ducketts was high on our list of places to go as I never saw a bad review. However I was majorly dissapointed. I was there about lunch time on a Monday and we seemed to be in their way. The woman at the counter was rude and treated my wife and I very poorly. There were minimal cheese tastings available an no wine tastings. We were there to spend money we we not freeloading (we just spent near on 100 dollars down the road at madfish) the staff had no customer service skills whatso ever. It was the lowest point of our WA visit by far.

Dear Farmhouse cheese, on march 14th I bought a 130g wedge of your Vintage Golden Hill Cheddar, I opened it today and was disappointed, it had a great flavour but was very salty and the cheese near the rind was hard in the extreme,
Cheers, John Lee
